Here you will find the options and few tricks in Mylot by using which you can work easier and more efficiently and more conveniently.
1. Adding and deleting necessary sorties(when you login there will be boxes informing you about top discussion,activity etc are called sorties) you can work much easier in mylot.
Delete the unwanted sorties like 'Weather Information'
And add the required ones by clicking add content which is at the top.
The best sorties to use are,
discussions I have started,discussions my friends started,discussions from my interests,todays top discussions, and discussions i have responded to.
Adding these help you a lot as they get updated every second and you can respond and comment on the discussions instantly.
If you have more number of interests and friends those sorties get updated every time you refresh so you can give unlimited comments by clicking them easily you need not search for what to respond or comment every time.
Note:- You will not find these sorties at the starting.
example:- You will not find 'discussions i have started' sortie unless you start a discussion ... so add them later if you don't find ... hope you got it.
2. Add as many interests as possible (about 300 will do great) so that whenever you need a topic to respond you will find many discussions waiting for you to give responses.
You can add interests at the beginning when you join or you will find 'discussions' option at the top of the page click that and you will find 'add/edit you interests' options at the left side of the page.
3. Add as many friends as possible so that they will know whenever you start a discussion so that they can respond and comment on your discussions. Also you will know when they start any discussions so that you can comment easily.
You can add friends by clicking on their name and selecting add as friend on their profile when you respond to any discussion or when they respond to your discussion ... its a good strategy to add atleast one friend when you respond/comment on other's discussion till you get 500 friends friends.
4. Mylot will send mails regarding every of your activity, so its more convenient to open your mail when you are working in mylot as, when you will get a mail when someone responds to your discussion so that you can decide to comment or not, when you get a mail that your response has been commented you can choose to comment back if its worth commenting, or you can know if someone private messages you and decide what to do with it. So use this feature well.
